ParkARTS Landscape Painting Series Returns to Boston’s Public Garden in June

In anticipation of summer, the Boston Parks & Recreation Department has begun planning its 15th annual ParkARTS program, sponsored by Bank of America. This year the program will once again include the popular Landscape Watercolor Painting Workshops. Taught by local art professionals, these free, hands-on workshops will enable aspiring artists of all skill levels to create their own park-inspired masterpieces. Set in the Public Garden and the Christopher Columbus Park, the workshops use Boston’s green-spaces in bloom to inspire and nurture budding talent. The Public Garden will be host to the class on Saturday, June 4, 11, 18, 25 from 12-2 p.m. Simultaneously, the program will alternate scenery and meet at Christopher Columbus Park in the North End for sessions on Sunday, June 5, 12, 19, 26 from 12-2 p.m.  The materials will be provided in partnership with official sponsor and art supplier Blick Art Materials For more information about the Landscape Watercolor Painting Workshops, please call (617) 635-4505 or visit the Boston Parks & Recreation Department’s website.
