In our Great Parks = Vibrant Cities panel last month, we invited Meg Cheever to come talk about her solutions to increasing park funding from her experience in working on parks in Pittsburgh. This is what she had to say:
About Meg Cheever: Meg Cheever is founding president and CEO of the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy. A lawyer by training, she has extensive experience in communications and marketing, parks management and fundraising. The Conservancy was founded in 1996 to focus on the city’s four large regional parks, and has since expanded into others as time and resources permit. Meg has led a successful effort to raise $45 million for the parks to date.
